Cheshire Hospices Education - Palliative Care Education Centre
Cheshire Hospices Education is a development centre for palliative care education. We provide a variety of quality education to a broad range of care staff who are aiming to make a difference to the lives of patients and families wherever they are being cared for.
|
To promote the delivery of high quality education, in theory and practice, which will positively influence palliative care wherever it may be given. We believe education should be stimulating and meaningful and provided in a way which is supportive and respects the uniqueness and value of each individual.
CHE work in partnership with the learners, supporting and enabling them to develop the knowledge and confidence they require in order to meet the changing, and often complex, needs of their clients. |
Who is the education for?
Care workers and professionals, at all levels, who support and work with people with palliative care needs. Our programmes and courses are designed to meet the needs of a variety of practitioners, working in different care settings and from different backgrounds.
What do we provide?
CHE aims to be responsive to what practitioners want so we run a range of long & short courses from 2 hour evening seminars to
full degree programme, with postgraduate modules planned for the future. We cover a wide range of topics that have particular relevance to practitioners. We work in partnership with the University of Bolton to provide education in supportive, palliative and end of life care. This is validated by the University and carries academic credits and awards. We always try to use interesting and varied teaching methods in a safe, supported learning environment.
CHE strives to offer flexible, dynamic education and is currently building an e- learning suite for all students undergoing education programmes.
What do students say?
