Course Information

This study day will focus on two growing areas of need as treatment for cancer and other life threatening diseases improve.
 
There are more than 2 million survivors of cancer in the UK (NCRI): as treatments improve this figure will increase.  Rehabilitation in palliative care is about moving people out of the sick role into effective day to day management of their illness (Payne 2010).
 
This day will:
 
Explore the strategies for improving care of those living with and beyond cancer
 
Review the concept of rehabilitation as an approach to palliative care
 
Who should attend? - all health and social care professionals
