Course Information

Aim:

Sexuality, whilst seen by many as the most private area of their lives, is also seen by most people as part of the infrastructure of life. It pervades all areas of life and impinges on all daily living tasks.

These study days are suitable for Senior Nurses, Doctors, Complementary Therapists and those AHPs working in cancer and palliative care with patients who may present with sexual problems. They aim to increase knowledge, enhance skills and provoke thought through an educational opportunity to explore communication anxieties, assessments and how to work with patients.

A structured approach will make use of large group interactive discussions, interactive presentations, case work in small groups, large group games and also offer time for informal discussion and reflection.

Course Format:

To get the most out of the event you will be required to attend both days.
