Duration: 15 week module - 5 taught days in first 10 weeks, 3 practice placements arranged by the student within the 15 week period
This module is aimed at health and social care staff involved in the care and support of individuals with advanced, progressive disease, malignant and non-malignant, at any point of the disease trajectory/journey.
During the module you will have the opportunity to increase your knowledge and skills of, and insight into, commonly encountered advanced, progressive disease. You will also be able to gain a more in-depth overview of a specific disease process that has relevance to your professional practice. Completion of practice placements will help you meet your individual learning needs and help with the application of knowledge and new ideas to practice.
Assessment: Production and presentation of an information leaflet, relating to your client group and a written assignment focussed on professional and service development.
