Duration: 15 week module - 5 taught days in first 10 weeks
This module is aimed at professionals whose work involves teaching and training within areas where palliative care is provided. The module concentrates on learners, the learning process and planning for teaching and learning and the support of the learner. The importance of long and short term teaching and learning and the relationship between good planning and the effective learning of groups and individuals is emphasised.
The module wil also develop the ability to use a a variety of teaching methods effectively and to facilitate student learning in different ways.
Assessment: video taped teaching session and critical reflection of teaching session
