Cost: £700 per 20 credit module for the 2012/2013 academic year
Duration: 15 week module - 6 taught days in first 10 weeks, 3 practice placements arranged by the student within the 15 week period
This module aims to promote professional's self-awareness of his/her own and of client's communication behaviours and consider the impact on the therapeutic relationship. It also aims to promote knowledge and ability in communicating in a way necessary to promote a therapeutic professional/client relationship and to enable professionals to elicit clients understanding, concerns and priorities to enable appropriate and timely intervention.
Assessment: 2 assignments - critical analysis of an interaction and reflection on a work-based communication incident.
